This report presents the finding of an Environmental Management Plan (EMP) of the project which is all kinds of Towel and Fabrics manufacturing facility. The objective of the study is to provide an examination and assessment of the principal environmental impacts of the industry. The outline of an environmental management plan also suggested with an indication of the extent of work to be done to keep the development and environment compatible. In this context, it should be noted that the term “environment” and its derivatives have been used in a wide sense, which covers not only physical and chemical aspect, but also the human dimension. The specific objectives of this EMP are to:
- Present a brief discussion on the EMP process and its role in the planning and implementation of development projects;
- Present a general description of the project and the process and existing environment;
- Delineate the significant environmental issues found and believed to be involved;
- Identify the environmental impacts of the project and quantify them to the extent possible and suggest the plan for the management of the environment.
This EMP report identifies probable environmental impacts due to the existing manufacturing unit, proper management plan for adverse environmental impacts mitigation, describes existing baseline conditions, identifies important environmental components through scoping, identifies potential impacts; prepare an outline for mitigation measures of potential negative impacts and enhancement of positive environmental impacts including preparation of an outline management plan.
