Green House Gas (GHG) Inventory & Monitoring

Greenhouse gas Monitoring is required by H & M buyer for higg index, BSCI,  LEED, BPEI, Sedex, WRAP, ICS, Wal-Mart, Buyers’ Audits, International Certification body, GSCP, IFC/World Bank, Bangladesh Bank, Govt. Officers & Various types of Buyer Code of Conduct Audits etc.

greenhouse gas (or GHG for short) is any gas in the atmosphere which absorbs heat, and thereby keeps the planet’s atmosphere warmer than it otherwise would be. The main GHGs in the Earth’s atmosphere are water vapour, carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O) and ozone.

The greenhouse effect is a natural process that warms the Earth’s surface. When the Sun’s energy reaches the Earth’s atmosphere, some of it is reflected back to space and the rest is absorbed and re-radiated by greenhouse gases. The absorbed energy warms the atmosphere and the surface of the Earth.

To reduce greenhouse gas emissions:

  1. Reduce, Reuse, And Recycle.
  2. Use Less Heat and Air Conditioning.
  3. Replace Your Light Bulbs.
  4. Drive Less and Drive Smart.
  5. Buy Energy-Efficient Products.
  6. Use Less Hot Water.
  7. Use the “Off” Switch.
  8. Plant a Tree.

So, Greenhouse gas is a essential term today for industries.
